Ok so. Here's what's happening. I didn't get the job, mainly because I will be leaving in a few months. Eh. You get that.



We're trying super hard to get the business up and running so it can sponsor me over. I'm still going ahead with my resignation plans though.



I went out last night with some girl friends... first time in months. All employees or ex employees of where I work. You can imagine the bitching =P It was a fun night though. We started at a pub, had quite a few drinks, then when happy hour ran out slowed down a bit, lol. Then left to go to this fabulous restaurant which does Italian, signature dish is an exquisite blue cheese risotto, omg it's to die for. I had a prawn galliano fettucini, which was divine. And then well, being the age we are, we got tired and sleepy from the food and sick of being in a loud environment (my throat is still sore from yelling over the noise) and went home. But it was a good night out =)



Today is the first of March, which means it's autumn, which means it's my birthday soon. *le sigh* At least I have the day off ;)



This weekend I am working on the business, and cleaning the house, because we have a real estate inspection on Tuesday. Yay! not.



Well. I'd better get moving. As much as I'd like to sit here all day... lol.

So I've just spent a half hour or so searching frantically for my passport, which decided to go missing today. Good news is I found it!



I also got more than a bit bummed today because we found out that it may not be possible for the new business to sponsor me over for residency. *sighs* Now I'm back to the other 2 methods... green card (either by application or lottery) and marriage. Haha.



Bad news is (apart from the fact that the marriage thing won't happen) the 2009 DV lottery has already closed. Which means the earliest would be 2010.



I am NOT waiting until 2010. That's far too far away. Bastards.



Of course there is always the quickest option I've found so far, which is investing in a business. Which technically I am doing. However without the requisite $50,000 investment and $1 million in net worth. Typical, that the quickest way to become a citizen is to be rich. *sighs again*



Oh, if only I were a "person of extraordinary ability", ie an athlete, artist or entertainer... they get it easy. But us poor plebs...



I wish I could find a reputable and not overly expensive immigration consultant who would work out all this crap for me. *sighs yet again*



Ah well. Bedtime for me. I'll worry about this all again tomorrow.

I have an interview this morning for the job I've been doing without getting paid for the last 12 months or so.



I don't want to do this interview. It's pointless. I don't like the job. I am getting more and more fed up with the idiots I have to deal with every day. Yesterday I had to restrain two of my staff who were having an argument. How do you restrain people who are as old if not older than your parents? I don't want to deal with their shit, I have enough shit of my own.



And in any case, I'm leaving in a few months. They know that. Why the fuck are they doing this? Gah.



On top of that, I'm in the middle of an attack of tonsillitis, didn't sleep last night, and have another neurologist's appointment this afternoon.



Oh yes, today is gonna suck ass big time.

Yesterday was... icky.



It was a fine sunny day (which we haven't had in a while) and was supposed to be hot, so I was taking it easy. It got hotter and hotter. By 10.30 it was 34 degrees (93.2 in F). There was no breeze to speak of. I was melting. It was horrible =(



By 2pm it was 41 degrees (105.8 in F)... it's days like that that make you remember what summer is actually all about... not that I appreciated it any more!



However by 3pm there was a cool change (smug grin), the wind picked up, clouds came over, and the temperature dropped 10 degrees in under 30 minutes. Ahhh bliss!



The good new is, hot weather is good for getting clothes dried on the line quicky *nods*. Although I did get sunburnt hanging said clothes out >.> Curse my fair skin!!!



Today however promises to be good =) Nothing above 32 or so (89.6 in F). That's good! Plus I have D&D today, which is even better.



Speaking of which I better go get myself moving =)

What can I say about Theeee Preciousssss??? ;) I think Drakontion rocks! I would most definitely hang with her offline and hope when she finally gets her butt over here we'll meet up! She's sweet and funny and playful and always has an encouraging word for others.



Greg might have screwed up in many ways, but one of the things he did right was introducing me to you, Drakontion. I'm so glad you're a part of this Coven. If you weren't, you'd probably be another gem that slipped beneath my radar...and my life would be a little less bright because of it. :)
